I performed edit of the registry as role of5 steps listed athttps://back up.microsoft.com/en-u.s./kb/314060

Deleted UpperFilters. There was no LowerFilters

Yhis did non prepare the problem.  DVD/CD worked fine before Win10 upgrade

Hello,

Yes... iTunes  uses a special driver that works with it's burning features that has been having issues with upgrade since Win 8...

Reinstalling iTunes may be needed, only the driver tin can be updated manually...

I installed the driver from gearsoftware, and ran the latest update from iTunes

Still ejects disc when trying to open with Windows Explorer ;(

Is there something I demand to do in one case gearsoftware is installed... I wan't prompted for annihilation one time it finished installing

Please follow the below steps to troubleshoot with the issue:

1. Run Command Prompt as an Administrator.

ii. Type following and say enter

reg.exe add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi\Controller0″ /f /v EnumDevice1 /t REG_DWORD /d 0x00000001

three. Reboot the system

4. Verify if the trouble has been resolved.

ran the control;

reg.exe add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi\Controller0″ /f /five EnumDevice1 /t REG_DWORD /d 0x00000001

restarted the laptop

Same scenario;  with disc loaded in the drive, click to open from Windows Explorer, the disc ejects and I get the pop-up
